Services
Welcome to John Blythe Child Psychology (JBCP), a specialist child and adolescent psychology service located in Blacktown NSW. The team at JBCP are committed to providing the latest evidence-based assessments, diagnoses and treatments for the full range of developmental challenges children and young people sometimes face. Following is an explanation of our services. If at any stage you have questions or comments related to our service please contact us.
Appointments
Appointments must be made in advance. A standard consultation is 50-minutes and a brief consultation is 25-minutes. It is important that you arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrival will result in reduced time for your session.
Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy
Cancelling an appointment with less than 48 hours notice, or not attending a scheduled appointment, will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the scheduled fee. Our clinic is in high demand and we usually have a significant list of families waiting for an available treatment appointment. Clients who miss/cancel two consecutive appointments or who miss/cancel three appointments over a course of treatment will be placed back on the wait list.
When attending the initial parent interview, please do not bring the child or young person with you as you need the freedom to discuss your concerns openly and honestly without the child being present.
JBCP offer a full range of diagnostic assessments as well as an extensive range of individual treatment programs, group treatment programs, and parent training & education courses.
Within JBCP, speciality services are available through our Autism Clinic and Reading Disorders Clinic.
