Why are you a Child Psychologist?: Because life is wonderful but also very difficult at times. Through it all, people are amazing. Sometimes we just need another person to help us see the truth, wisdom and strength that are available to us but we can't quite see yet. I love being able to help in that process, especially with kids, teens and parents, because the changes we can make early on will last for a lifetime.
John founded the clinic in order to help people. Since 2004 we have been working with young people and families in greater Western Sydney for nearly 20 years!
Starting out with just two small office rooms in a building on Bessemer Street, Blacktown.

Moving to our current clinic on Richmond Rd, Blacktown in 2009 and having grown from just two clinicians to a dynamic team of child psychologists, educational psychologists, mental health practitioners, and mental health social workers we can now help more people than ever.

Why are you a Child Psychologist?: from a very early age, I found myself wanting to help others. From the kid that was getting bullied behind the demountables, to the kid that was struggling with their English essay. Being a child psychologist is one of the most challenging and rewarding professions that allows a person the honour of sharing someone's story and assisting them with grasping and utilising strategies and tools that they didn't even think were possible. Seeing the progress and outcome that an individual makes through this journey is consistently awe inspiring!

Why are you a Child Psychologist?: I believe all children are entitled to a happy and healthy life, and when needed the support should be available to give them the tools and assistance to help them reach their full potential. By working with children and their families, we are able to provide them early in their life with tools they can use now and also in their future. Giving them and their families the best possible chance at building a happy and healthy life.

Why are you a Mental Health Practitioner?:
Growing up I always felt the need to help others, I was curious about how I would be able to turn this into a career until I found social work. I enjoy seeing the small changes in a person as they begin to explore their identities and acknowledge their wins. It is these small wins and changes in a person that have driven me to work in the community providing support to others.

Why are you a Child Psychologist?:
As long as I can remember I have wanted to work with children. By helping children to learn more about themselves and their thoughts and feelings, I hope that I can make a positive impact on their wellbeing and sense of self. Growing up can come with a lot of pressures and challenges, and I want to help equip children to face these as best they can (while having lots of fun too)

Why are you a child psychologist?:
I enjoy working with children and seeing the world through their eyes. My mission is to help children and families navigate whatever issues/struggles they are currently facing. I hope I can positively impact the trajectory of their lives by enhancing their well-being and maximising their potential so that they can grow up as a well-adjusted young person.
